"Nish" Nishimura
Co-Producer
Known as "Nish" to her friends
and colleagues, Karen Nishimura's 14-year career in entertainment
has included creative marketing positions in both television syndication
and Internet development. She has worked with Westinghouse Broadcasting,
Columbia TriStar Interactive and Eyemark Entertainment (a unit of
CBS Entertainment). Nish has managed and contributed her talents to
creative promotional campaigns for various syndicated TV shows such
as; "Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal," "Pensacola
Wings of Gold," "Marilu," "Bob Vila's Home Again"
and more. She has also produced Web sites for many TV series including,
"Wheel of Fortune," "Jeopardy," "Party of
Five," "Caroline in the City" and "Jackie Collins
Hollywood."
As a Los Angeles native, Nish's interests
have been in entertainment and music has always been a passion. She's
an avid fan of Jazz and it was over 18 years ago that the Baked Potato
was one of the first Jazz clubs to introduce her to the excitement
of live Jazz performances. Asked why she wanted to work on this project,
Nish replied, "The Baked Potato is an important part of L.A.
Jazz history. I'm excited to be a part of the production team on a
documentary that will reveal and delight audiences with the remarkable
contribution the Baked Potato has made to Jazz and to Los Angeles."
